Sunday Lunchtime

Yep, today i saw the Michael Garrick Jazz Britannia Orchestra.

Michael Garrick is an absolute legend of the british jazz scene and deserves a great amount of respect. It was indeed a shame that there was not many people in the audience but those who were, certainly did get their money's worth. with the "sound thermometer" flashing into deep red territory most of the afternoon, the band was swinging hard, with great dynamics and the cats were having fun to boot. The writing was sheer genius, all facets of Mr. Garrick's musical influences profoundly showing their faces through the sounds erupting throughout the downstairs bar of the Spice of Life in Soho. Sheer Joy. check em out. Highly recommended.
